Papers, 1774-1838 (inclusive).

Letters received, 1837-1838, relating to the possible partition (rather than sale) of a property (now in Highland Park, Middlesex County) in which many persons held an interest, chiefly as descendants of former owner David Van Horne (1715-ca. 1776) of New York state. The letters, from Vanbrugh Livingston (of New York City) and his lawyer, B.W. Bonney, were occasioned by Livingston's 87/336 part interest in the Van Horne property. Enclosures in the letters include a "Statement of Case" by B.W. Bonney and holograph copies of relevant wills and deeds, 1774-1826.
